Normally it would be just a bunch of tunnels.
But if you read the signs, the history of the place comes to life. And there was a very pleasant man working there. He was very knowledgeable and did his best to answer any questions.
This was great! We were warmly welcomed and had a lovely introduction from knowledgeable staff who spoke a variety of languages.
The information panels inside the tunnels explain everything in several languages and although the path is slightly uneven as expected, there are no steps inside.
This is a place of important history and the staff do a great job of answering any questions. Visit for sure!
It's chilling to imagine this was the place where the third reich was developing secret weapons to try and win WW2. Good reading panels to get the full explanation of what was going on in there as well as a video animation in the entrance.
I had been hoping to see this place for many years and I found it fascinating. You can still see one of the guns and the tunnels are extraordinary. The story is well told in English,German, French and Dutch. Look out for the gun cap at the entrance. Car park good, wc and a tiny cafe.
Staff are excellent and really helpful as well as being just nice…
Great place to visit if you are a history buff. Very atmospheric.
From my point of view a must go if you are interested in WWII stuff. The place is huge although it only takes about 45 minutes to go through all of it (consider that most parts of the tunnel were destroyed for obvious reasons). It is very cold inside. Although I went in summer, it was about 5°C or less. Also, keep in mind that there is no signal inside. There is no public transportation to te place (I went by bike).
Been before without my wife and little dog. Thought this would be really interesting to share with them. Arrived and was willing to pay for the tour, only to be told that our little dog in his backpack hold-all was not permitted to enter. Disappointed! The dog was in a doggy hold-all on our back and still not permitted. Clearly not interested in revenue and so they lost our payment. They need to move into the 21st Century. Tourists are travelling with their dogs and if tourists are being responsible with their pets, then this should be considered. No pet no revenue!!!
Out of imagination creating weapon like this. Just like a huge rocket lunch system. Very very huge. Basical here is a big bunker with some presentation board and few physical objects. Still nice to visit this myterious place.
